The Ladies European Tour will be making history this week with its first foray in South America, when the penultimate Lalla Aicha Tour School qualifying event tees off at the Golf Club La Pradera de Potosi, in Colombia.
The first two qualifying events were staged at Mission Hills in China and the Mohammedia Golf Club in Morocco. So far 35 players have progressed through to the Lalla Aicha Tour School Final Qualifying event, which will be staged at the Amelkis Golf Club and Samanah Country Club, December 18 – 22.
This year has seen a record number of entrants competing for 2016 Membership on the Ladies European Tour. 227 players from 43 different countries entered to earn LET Membership with more opportunities than ever before to join the Tour.
The total field of entries has been truly global, featuring players from six different continents:Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, North America and South America. Countries not yet represented on the Ladies European Tour with players at Lalla Aicha Tour School include Trinidad and Tobago and Vietnam.
The top 10 players and ties will advance to the Final Qualifying School to be staged at Amelkis Golf Club & Samanah Country Club, Morocco from 18 – 22 December.
