Nine of the world’s top international women golfers celebrated the sixth Sanya Ladies Open at Yalong Bay Golf Club with a visit to The Ritz Carlton, Sanya, Yalong Bay, on Thursday.

Before the golf began on the course on Friday, there was plenty of action at the 5-star grand property, located along the golden sands of nearby Yalong Bay Beach.

Norwegian Caroline Martens and Brazilian Victoria Lovelady (pictured above) were joined by Australian Grace Lennon, Italian Stefania Croce, Mireia Prat from Spain, Kelsey MacDonald from Scotland, Jamila Jaxaliyeva from Kazakhstan, Aditi Ashok from India and Jiaxin Lin, one of China’s rising stars.

The players sampled the world class amenities and services, including Segway tours and a lavish four course Italian meal in the ‘Sofia’ restaurant.

On Wednesday evening, all 123 players in the field enjoyed a fantastic welcome dinner in the resort’s spectacular tropical gardens, with views across the bay and out to the South China Sea.

For the sixth year running, the Sanya Ladies Open has attracted a world class field of players from 28 different countries globally including the top two Chinese golfers Shanshan Feng and Xiyu Lin, who are likely to represent China at next year’s Olympic Games. With so much to see and do in the national vacation resort, all of the golfers and many of their families are enjoying their time on and off the course.
