Golf Club la Pradera de Potosi in Colombia successfully hosted Ladies European Tour Pre-Qualifying for Lalla Aicha Tour School for the second time on 23-26 November and four players earned their place in the Final Stage, due to take place in Morocco.
The co-medalists were Lauren Horsford from England and Jeanette Marita Engzelius of Norway, who ended a stroke ahead of Marijosse Navarro from Mexico, with Maria Yacaman from Colombia claiming the fourth spot.
La Pradera de Potosi Event Director, Sebastian Pinzón, said: “Following the success of last year’s Pre-Qualifier at La Pradera de Potosi in Colombia, once again we were delighted to welcome the future stars of women’s golf. It’s particularly important in this Olympic year that Latin American golfers have the opportunity to achieve their potential and this initiative sends a very positive message about the strength and capabilities of our country when it comes to staging world class golf events.”
In 2016, there are four pre-qualifying tournaments, including two in Morocco, one in Asia and one in South America. The Final Qualifier will be played at Amelkis Golf and Samanah Country Club in Marrakech, Morocco, on 17-21 December 2016, when Lalla Aicha Tour School will be played in Morocco for the fifth consecutive year.
