Famed for her prodigious length off the tee, Brittany Lincicome will take the excitement level up a notch when the American powerhouse makes her first appearance at the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic at Emirates Golf Club from December 6-9.

A two-time major winner, Lincicome will join Dame Laura Davies, Women’s British Open champion In-Kyung Kim and Charley Hull among other top-draws in headlining a sterling cast for the season-ending Ladies European Tour event.

Nicknamed “Bam Bam” for her power, Lincicome has strung together an impressive streak on the LPGA Tour, highlighted by seven wins, including two major championships, and six Solheim Cup appearances.

More glory is around the corner for a seasoned golfer whose longest drive was measured at 369 yards when she hits the Majlis course, hoping her well-rounded game will be up for the challenge.

“I am extremely delighted by the opportunity to compete in Dubai. It will be fun playing at The Majlis, a course that I have seen on TV many times. I am happy with my game, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Will take things as they come, step by step.

“I have a great respect for players on the Ladies European Tour and their competitiveness is second to none. I’ll have to be at the top of my game since the tournament attracts a top-class field every year,” said Lincicome whose 2017 season on the LPGA is highlighted by victory at the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic.

David Spencer, Omega Dubai Ladies Classic tournament director, said: “Brittany is an exceptional talent who combines power off the tee with a soft touch around the greens, making her one of the most successful golfers of modern era.

“We really look forward to seeing her play in Dubai. I am confident she will receive a huge reception befitting her status as a true ambassador of golf when her name is announced on the first tee. I wish her the best and hope her all-round game will keep the fans entertained.”
