Spanish pro golfer Belén Mozo joins the Deporte & Business communication team and will be the ambassador for the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España, the final event of the Ladies European Tour season that will take place from November 26-29 at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina.
Mozo, a player with a remarkable amateur and professional record, will contribute with her point of view as a golfer as well as her talent as a communicator and expert in new technologies at the Spanish Women’s Open, final tournament of the Race to Costa del Sol, the new Ladies European Tour ranking sponsored by the Costa del Sol Tourist Board.
“I am very excited to join this project and I believe that my experience could be very useful. I hope that we can open new avenues for the popularization of women’s golf and reach a wider audience through fun and educational initiatives”, said Belén Mozo. “The next few years will be essential to convey how good is golf as a sport and Andalusia (and Spain) as a tourist destination both locally and internationally, and I am especially eager to be an ambassador for my country.”
Winner of the 2006 Womens Amateur Championship and the Girls Amateur Championship in a stellar amateur season, and the International Crown of the LPGA Tour in 2014 (in a Spanish team she shared with Azahara Muñoz, Carlota Ciganda and Beatriz Recari), the woman from Cádiz she is also well-known for her communication skills and has become, in her own right, one of the most recognizable faces on the international golf scene. Her charisma, her knowledge, her closeness to pro players and her talent on and off the golf course will be great assets to carry out the tasks implied by this new challenge.
In fact, Belén Mozo is already working hard on the preparation of a good number of initiatives that, without a doubt, will notably reinforce the visibility of a very special Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España, the perfect culmination for the Race to Costa del Sol.
