Voting has opened for the BBC’s Greatest Sporting Moment of the Year award, which will be announced on 15 December 2019 at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards in Aberdeen.

Suzann Pettersen’s winning putt to secure Solheim Cup victory for Europe has been included among the contenders in the running.

Under the ultimate pressure of holing the winning putt, Suzann made no mistake with a birdie to clinch Europe’s victory over the United States at Gleneagles in Scotland.

The Norwegian wept uncontrollably after a life and career defining moment which saw Team Europe win 14 1/2 – 13 1/2 and announced she would end her professional career on that winning note.
